vapormundum is an independent artisanal perfume house from Germany, built around storytelling, creative freedom, and a distinct approach to perfumery.

Founded by self-taught perfumer Joschka Klee, vapormundum views fragrance not simply as something to be worn, but as an artistic medium - a way to translate memories, places, music, emotions, and imaginary worlds into scent.

Being independent is at the very core of this philosophy. Unbound by a parent fragrance house or single raw-material supplier, Joschka sources freely from across the globe, selecting what he considers the finest materials for each individual creation. Rather than formulating from a predefined palette, he continuously builds his own.

This creative autonomy also gave rise to one of the defining ideas behind the house: The Accord Concept.

In traditional perfumery, pre-composed accords and bases often serve as hidden building blocks within a fragrance. From the beginning, however, Joschka preferred to compose these structures himself - intricate compositions within the composition, tailored specifically to each perfume.

Eventually, a simple question emerged: 

Why should these accords only exist inside the formula?

vapormundum brings them outside the bottle and places them into the hands of the wearer.

Every 50 ml vapormundum fragrance is accompanied by two specially formulated 8 ml accords. The core creation can be worn entirely on its own, or layered with either accord to emphasize individual facets, shift its character, or unveil an entirely new interpretation of the composition.

It turns fragrance into an interactive ritual - a versatile fragrance wardrobe in which one composition reveals different facets depending on how it is worn.

Each vapormundum creation exists within its own distinct universe. One may capture the energy, smoke, and champagne of a techno rave, while another explores the quiet atmosphere of a desert at night, or the tension between floral beauty and something darker, more dangerous.

There is no uniform olfactory signature that every perfume is forced to follow. What unites them is the approach: each creation begins with an idea, an emotion, or a story, and is given the complete freedom to become its own world.
